YOUK'S REVENGE...TURNER GETS LIT-UP...TROUT THE NEXT MANTLE?

Youk cranked a 3-run homer over the Green Monster to help the White Sox beat the Red Sox 7-5.

Tigers' pitching prospect Jacob Turner started last night's game against the Angels.
He didn't last long.
Turner went 2 innings, gave up 6 hits, 7 runs (3 of them home runs), 2 walks and 1 K.
Turner, Duane Below, Brayan Villarreal and Darin Downs served-up a total of 18 hits in a 13-0 Angels spanking of the Tigers.

Mike Trout, Mark Trumbo and Albert Pujols all homered off Jacob Turner in the first two innings, and Alberto Callaspo and Kendrys Morales hit 'taters later in the game.
Los Angeles' rookie Trout went 4-for-6, including a 430-foot monster shot. This kid is tearing-it-up, he has 100 hits in 69 games and leads the AL with a .355 average.

Alice Cooper threw out the first pitch and joined Mario Impemba, Rod Allen & Shannon Hogan in the booth...

Al Kaline had some very high praise for Mike Trout:

"He's a strong guy, runs really well, power - he reminds me a little bit of a Mantle. You don't see the combination of power and speed that he has.
Power guys usually are bigger and slower. You don't see too many guys with great power that can really have great speed. But obviously Trout has both. He looks like he's a complete player. I know he's an outstanding outfielder."
