This is what happens when you go to a ballpark, that's cursed by a billy goat, on Friday the 13th...
An almost 4 hour rain delay.
The day started out fine. Sunny, blue skies, 90 degrees. We walked around Wrigley and took in the sights and sounds.

We arrived early enough to take in batting practice.

There was a dude hitting ground balls to the infielders. He looked kinda familiar.

Then, just before the game was about to start, the grounds crew pulled on the tarp.

Then, all hell broke loose...

The dugouts flooded and the drains were overflowing all around the ballpark.
Anthony Rizzo had to remove the treads to make his way into the clubhouse...

Once the rain, finally, subsided we were treated to the Alfonso Soriano Show.
Soriano hit 2 homers, 2 doubles and had 5 RBIs to help the Cubs smoke the Diamondbacks 8-1.
Cubs' great Mark Grace helped the crowd with "Take Me Out to the Ballgame"...

The day ended with sunshine and a nice win for the Cubs.
That's probably my last Friday the 13th ballgame though...
