HISTORY

The HISTORY CHANNEL in the U.S. declined to show The Kennedys.
That's too bad because it was good.
I watched the 8-hour miniseries on the HISTORY CHANNEL in Canada.
I've read a lot of material covering the period referred to as the American Camelot and I found this program both interesting and entertaining.
Greg Kinnear's portrayal of JFK and Katie Holmes as Jacqueline Kennedy were excellent!
The final episode features the assassinations of John F. Kennedy and Bobby Kennedy and was particularly well-done. I found it kinda weird that, right after I finished watching the finale, the news came across the ticker that Osama bin Laden was killed.
Sunday night history overload...

The real deal...

The Cleveland Indians just completed a three-game sweep of the
Detroit Tigers.
It was their 13th straight home win.
The Tribe finished April with a franchise-best 18-8 record! The Indians have been playing baseball for 111 years and that's their best opening month ever?
Cleveland has the best record in baseball at 19-8.

At the other end of the spectrum are the Detroit Tigers, who have lost
six-in-a-row.
Today the Tigers begin a 4-game home series against the Yankees.
Today will be the long-awaited return of Curtis Granderson to The Copa.
Granderson hasn't played at Comerica Park since he wore a Detroit uniform in the last game of the 2009 season. A couple months later he was traded to the Yankees.
Grandy was injured last year when the Yankees came to the 'D.'
This season Granderson is hitting .281 with 8 homers and 18 RBIs.
He cranked a three-run dinger, on Sunday, to help the Yankees beat the Blue Jays 5-2...
