Both teams unloaded today. The Tigers designated Don Kelly for assignment to make room for Andy Dirks who's coming off the DL.
The Indians designated Johnny Damon for assignment and recalled outfielder Ezequiel Carrera from the Triple-A Columbus Clippers.
Damon is sitting on 2,769 hits. Will he make it to the magic 3,000?
The Oakland A's sent catcher Kurt Suzuki to the Washington Nationals for minor league catcher David Freitas.
Derek Norris will become the A's everyday catcher. The Athletics acquired Norris in December, along with pitcher Tommy Milone, in exchange for starter Gio Gonzalez.
Suzuki will now get to work with Gonzalez again - as well as Stephen Strasburg.
The HBWHOF will be at Fiesta Tigres! on Saturday - Tigers vs Indians - and Tigers vs Yankees on Monday. How delightful!
