Sunday's recap: The Royals beat the Tigers 4-3.
The big news in Kansas City was the debut of Royals' rookie second baseman Johnny Giavotella.
Giavotella belted his first major league homer on Sunday.
He was brought-up from Triple-A Omaha to face the Tigers. Batting against Rick Porcello, Justin Verlander and Max Scherzer, Giavotella went 5-for-11(.455) with a .909 slugging percentage in his first three games!
If you watched the game you also witnessed an incredible throw by Royals' right fielder Jeff Francoeur, who gunned-down Jhonny Peralta at 3rd base.

The Oakland A's beat the Tampa Bay Rays 5-4 in extra innings.
Hideki Matsui and Josh Willingham homered for the A's.
