With Justin Verlander on the mound, the Detroit Tigers avoided being swept by the Cleveland Indians on Thursday night.
The Tigers beat the Tribe 4-3.
Verlander became baseball's first 17-game winner and notched his 100th career win.

The Big Potato pitched the 9th inning and earned his 33rd save in 33 opportunities - breaking the single-season club record held by Guillermo Hernandez.
