On Wednesday afternoon, the Detroit Tigers swept the Chicago White Sox for the 2nd time in September.
Detroit was losing 5-2 entering the 9th inning. Then Ryan Raburn came in to pinch-hit and hit it over the fence...5-3. Then Magglio Ordoñez came in to pinch-hit and drew a walk. Then Alex Avila came in to pinch-hit and went YARD...5-5. Then Carlos Guillen singled home the winning run in the 10th inning. Then Jose Valverde struck out the side in the 10th to remain perfect in 44 save opportunities this year...Then the Tigers won 6-5.
The win was Detroit's 12th victory in-a-row, the longest win streak since 1934!
The Tigers travel to Oakland for a 4-game series against the Athletics.
